Why 4DTE calls? One answer: DASH 2026
Datadog's annual flagship conference is happening today from June 9 to 10 in NY. This is their biggest product moment of the year, where they are to announce some partnerships/products, alright...
The keynote is streaming live today but what's on the agenda is where it gets interesting:
Datadog launched their AI autonomous SRE agent (Bits AI SRE) at DASH last year. This year the keynote is explicitly framed around "Bits AI embedded across the platform", "assisted and autonomous operations", and building toward "safe, reliable self-driving infrastructure."
That's not incremental language. That's a platform pivot announcement. They're positioning DDOG as an AI-native ops company, not just a monitoring tool.

The DASH breakout sessions include fireside chats with:
- OpenAI (Thibault Sottiaux, Head of Codex, OpenAI's software engineering agent)
- Hugging Face (Clem Delangue, CEO)

Companies don't send their CEOs and heads of product to someone else's conference for a casual chat. These are probably pre-announced integrations waiting to be dropped.

This is the most speculative piece but potentially the most significant.
Anthropic has a model called Claude Mythos, their most powerful model to date, currently in restricted preview under a program called Project Glasswing. It's been limited to cybersecurity defenders because of the sophistication of what it can do. As of late May, Anthropic said Mythos-class models were coming to customers "in the coming weeks."
This morning, Polymarket moved to \~76% probability that Mythos goes public by June 15. Multiple reports are citing a launch tomorrow (June 10) in the second day of DASH...
Anthropic's own speaker at DASH is Sholto Douglas. If Anthropic is launching Mythos publicly tomorrow and they're on stage at a Datadog conference the same day, the obvious read is a partnership: Mythos as the AI backbone, Datadog as the observability layer for monitoring Mythos-powered agents in production.
Bear Case:
- Valuation is stretched: \~460x fwd P/E. Any disappointment gets punished hard.
- Insider selling: CEO Olivier Pomel sold \~$7M worth on June 2, CRO and CPO also trimmed. Officially RSU tax withholding, but 228 sales and 0 buys in the last 6 months is a pattern worth noting.
- "Buy the rumour, sell the news" risk: Stock is already +75% YTD and everyone knows DASH is happening. Some of this may be priced in.
